SINGAPORE, Sept. 28 -- A fire broke out at Woodlands Evangelical Free Church early this morning, with preliminary findings pointing to the audio system in the auditorium as the likely cause, according to The Straits Times.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the blaze at 1 Woodlands Street 83 at about 3.45am.
Firefighters extinguished the flames involving the auditorium's audio system on the fourth floor using a water jet. No injuries were reported, SCDF said.
Sembawang GRC MP Mariam Jaafar said in a Facebook post at 10.41am that dampening operations were still ongoing.
