KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 31 -- Two vehicles were crushed by a fallen tree at the Taman Free School flats in George Town yesterday.
It is understood that the Proton Exora and Proton Saga involved did not sustain serious damage.
Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations John Sagun Francis said the department received a distress call at 10.32pm.
He said a team of five firefighters from the Jalan Perak Fire and Rescue Station, led by Muhamad Nurakmal Azmi, was deployed to the scene.
"The fallen tree was found to have landed on two cars parked in the area.
"The incident did not involve any casualties," he said in a statement today.
