SANDAKAN, Oct. 28 -- A 200-kilogram, nine-foot crocodile was captured by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) early this morning at Kampung Sungai Obar, Batu 7.
The operation began around 1.42am after the district operations centre received an emergency call reporting a crocodile that had chased a dog and appeared beneath a stilt house.
District Civil Defence Officer Capt (PA) Sulaiman Salama said the team quickly restrained the animal by tying and covering its eyes with ropes, clamps, and a safety blanket to prevent aggression.
The capture was successfully completed at 2.53am. - Daily Express
