KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 26 -- The city's authorities have shut down three beauty salons operating illegally and run by foreigners during a joint enforcement operation in Jalan Ipoh.
The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) raid, carried out with the Immigration Department and the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry, targeted unlicensed businesses and those violating licence conditions.
A total of 11 premises were inspected under the "Tindakan Khas Premis Siri 10/2025" operation around Kompleks Mutiara.
DBKL issued 17 compound notices for various offences, including employing foreigners without valid work permits and operating without business licences.
