KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 12 -- The case involving Malaysian rapper Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, has been sent to the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC), the police have said, amid a probe on Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yu-hsin.
Kuala Lumpur police chief CP Datuk Fadli Marsus said investigation papers for Wee's case have been referred to the deputy public prosecutor's office today, and is still awaiting further instructions".
Fadli's brief statement this evening on Wee's case comes ahead of the expiry of the latter's remand tomorrow.
Hsieh, known online as Iris Hsieh or "Nurse Goddess", had been found dead in the bathroom of a hotel room along Jalan Conlay in Kuala Lumpur on October 22.
