SANTA FE, Feb. 27 -- Two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawa, 63, a classical pianist, were found dead in their Santa Fe home, local police confirmed.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said the couple, along with their dog, were found dead.
He confirmed the deaths after midnight Thursday (3pm Malaysian time).
Mendoza stated there were no indications found so far of foul play but did not mention possible causes of death.
Hackman won a best actor Oscar for his leading role in The French Connection and later won a best supporting actor gong for his appearance in Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.
