India, April 8 -- India's changing market dynamics have forced equipment vendors Huawei and ZTE to cut jobs at their Indian offices, Light Reading can reveal.

Chinese bellwether Huawei, which is fighting to be included in India's 5G market, is known to have laid off between 500 and 700 of its employees over the last six to seven months. "These layoffs are in the network management and business development segment.
