India, Feb. 10 -- As a millennial, I've grown up surrounded by an evolving spectrum of humor. At home, it often came wrapped in casual misogyny, disguised as lighthearted retorts. On reality TV, it manifested in crass jokes, rewarding the loudest voice rather than the wittiest. Yet, there was also the nuanced brilliance of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey-comedians who brought sensitivity, self-awareness, and, at times, an intellectual challenge to their craft. Even today, I'd drop everything to watch a funny special by Daniel Sloss, Vir Das, Sumukhi Suresh, or Zakir Khan. Do they sometimes make an unsafe comment or throw in a cuss word or two? Of course.
