Greater Noida, June 11 -- The Yamuna Expressway Authority is opening new avenues for farmers by allowing them to set up industrial units in their own villages.
The proposal, to be presented at the upcoming board meetingon June 18, aims to empower farmers by letting them utilize their land for businesses.
Under this initiative, the Authority will allot one acre of land per person fr0m notified villages for industrial use. Initially, five villages per development phase will be selected.
The proposal aims to involve farmers in the industrial growth of the region by giving them permission to establish units on their own land, with access to all basic infrastructure.
