Kolkata, May 20 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee emphasised the importance of establishing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) throughout north Bengal during the North Bengal Business Meet held in Siliguri on Monday.
The Chief Minister specifically called for the development of additional industrial parks to accommodate these enterprises.
This initiative appears to be part of a broader strategy by the state government to stimulate smaller-scale industrial investments from private entrepreneurs.
The primary objectives are to generate employment opportunities and reduce the outmigration of unemployed youth from north Bengal to other states.
