New Delhi, June 20 -- Walmart has announced a major expansion of its MSME-focused development initiative, the Walmart Vriddhi programme, with the goal of training an additional 100,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across India by the end of 2028.

Launched in 2019, Walmart Vriddhi has so far supported more than 70,000 MSMEs through capacity-building initiatives that include access to digital commerce tools, tailored mentorship, and strategic partnership opportunities.

The programme is designed to integrate small businesses into modern supply chains, including platforms such as Flipkart Marketplace, Walmart Marketplace, and other digital ecosystems.

India continues to serve as Walmart's top sourcing market globally.
