New Delhi, July 8 -- Renewable energy developer UPC Renewables and energy platform ACEN on Monday announced the joint development of over 500 megawatts (MW) of clean energy projects in India.

The upcoming projects - a 420 MW solar farm in Rajasthan's Barmer district and a 120 MW wind farm in Karnataka - are scheduled for completion by early 2027.

Together, the facilities are expected to generate approximately 1,158 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually, enough to power an estimated 241,000 homes and offset more than 876,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
