Lucknow, Jan. 9 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has announced significant progress in linking youth with industries and MSME units through apprenticeship schemes, providing practical work experience alongside employment opportunities.

According to a press release from the state's Public Information Department, 83,277 young people were placed as apprentices across industrial and MSME units in 2025-26 alone, reported ET.

UP Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, highlighted that the apprenticeship programmes extend beyond certification, equipping youth with hands-on experience in manufacturing, services, and small and medium enterprises.
