Lucknow, July 23 -- In a significant move towards bolstering defence manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a cabinet meeting on Tuesday and approved several key decisions aimed at accelerating the progress of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC).
One of the major highlights of the meeting was the approval to establish a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) research centre in Lucknow.
This centre is expected to strengthen research capabilities and innovation in the defence sector within the state.
