Lucknow, Nov. 25 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has rolled out a new risk-based inspection framework for industrial establishments, aiming to reduce procedural delays and prevent harassment during compliance checks.

The system replaces the 2017 inspection mechanism and is expected to streamline regulatory processes for businesses across the state, reported Jagran Josh.

Under the revised framework, low-risk units will face inspections only once in five years, while medium-risk industries will be assessed through third-party audits instead of routine departmental checks.

Startup units have been granted a 10-year exemption from inspections, barring cases involving complaints or accidents.
