New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Leading tech companies and telecom providers have joined forces to launch the Safer Internet India (SII) coalition, a new initiative aimed at enhancing cybersecurity and promoting responsible innovation in India's digital ecosystem.

The coalition, announced on February 11, 2025, brings together major players including Airtel, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Truecaller, and several other prominent digital service providers.

The formation of SII comes at a crucial time as India has emerged as the second most cyber-attacked country globally in the post-COVID era.
