Jowai, June 28 -- The Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) has organised the Skill Mela at U Kiang Nangbah Government College Auditorium in Jowai.

The mela has been setup under the Skill Meghalaya Programme and will conclude on June 28.

The two-day fair was inaugurated by Jowai legislator and MCCL Chairman, Wailadmiki Shylla on Monday.





MSSDS through this event aims to focus on making youths more productive in the local economy, leading them to self-employment.

Speaking at the occasion, Shylla highlighted the importance of skill development in building up the youth with the required skill sets for achieving self-dependency and a growing career.
