New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday released its 2025 list of Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs), retaining State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank in the same systemic importance buckets as in the 2024 list.
These banks will continue to maintain additional Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital requirements over and above the Capital Conservation Buffer.
For 2025, the D-SIB classification places SBI in Bucket 4, requiring an additional CET1 buffer of 0.80 per cent of risk-weighted assets.
HDFC Bank is assigned to Bucket 2 with a 0.40 per cent CET1 requirement, while ICICI Bank falls under Bucket 1, with an additional requirement of 0.20 per cent.
