New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- The Union Government has disbursed over Rs 2,400 crore as the first installment of untied grants under the Fifteenth Finance Commission (XV-FC) recommendations for the financial year 2025-26.
The funds have been allocated to rural local bodies in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
Bihar has received Rs 801.009 crore, benefiting 38 District Panchayats, 530 Block Panchayats, and 8,046 Gram Panchayats.
Himachal Pradesh has been allotted Rs 67.955 crore for 12 District Panchayats, 80 Block Panchayats, and 3,576 Gram Panchayats.
Uttar Pradesh, receiving the largest share, has been allocated Rs 1,548.384 crore, covering 73 District Panchayats, 813 Block Panchayats, and 57,633 Gram Panchayats.
