New Delhi, Feb. 10 -- The government is implementing the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles to encourage wider participation, especially from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita said while replying to a question in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

To broaden participation, the government reopened the application portal on August 1, 2025 and extended the deadline to March 31, 2026, citing strong industry response and interest from mid-sized firms.

The scheme was revised through a notification issued on October 9, 2025.
