New Delhi, June 26 -- Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has officially stepped into the esports industry through a joint venture between its subsidiary Rise Worldwide and Denmark-based BLAST Esports.

The two firms announced their partnership on June 26, forming a new entity named Jio BLAST eSports.

Initially incorporated by RISE on April 18, 2025, as a wholly-owned unit, the company transitioned into a 50:50 joint venture after BLAST Esports invested Rs 5 crore by subscribing to 50 lakh equity shares worth Rs 10 each.

The joint venture aims to boost the Indian esports scene by combining BLAST's global expertise in organising large-scale tournaments with Reliance's technological infrastructure and massive digital reach in India.
