New Delhi, Nov. 29 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said India's economic strength, technological progress and principled foreign policy have positioned it as a voice of balance and reliability across the Indo-Pacific and the Global South.

Speaking at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi, he said ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, terrorism and information warfare make defence reforms essential.

He noted that the government has expanded border and maritime infrastructure, accelerated Armed Forces modernisation and boosted indigenous defence manufacturing under Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
