Puducherry, Aug. 4 -- Puducherry has recorded a 54 per cent growth in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection for July 2022, as compared to the same month in 2021.
As per the data shared by the Union Ministry of Finance (UFM) vis-a-vis State/UT-wise growth of GST revenues, union territory in the month of July crossed Rs 198 crore in its revenue collection registering Rs 69 core more than that of the previous year.
Puducherry is placed at the second position alongside Ladakh in the list of States and the Union Territories. Only Lakshadweep is ahead of with a recorded 69 per cent growth. Puducherrys growth rate is higher than the National-level GST growth rate of 28 per cent for the month.
