New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- A three-day tour covering Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar will feature the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development projects worth over Rs 71,850 crore.

These initiatives span infrastructure, regional connectivity, energy, education, healthcare, and cultural programmes aimed at boosting socio-economic growth across the eastern and northeastern states.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will unveil major projects across the five states.

On September 13, he will begin in Mizoram, inaugurating the Bairabi-Sairang rail line-the state's first connection to the Indian Railways network-along with new express train services linking Aizawl to Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
