New Delhi, March 12 -- Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh has informed the Lok Sabha that each PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) park will generate approximately 3 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities across the entire textile value chain, including spinning, weaving, processing, printing, and garment and accessories manufacturing.

The government has approved the establishment of seven PM MITRA parks in greenfield and brownfield sites with a financial outlay of Rs 4,445 crore for the period 2021-22 to 2027-28.

The seven finalized sites are located in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
