Bengaluru, June 28 -- Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, on Thursday inaugurated a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) manufacturing facility at the Bidadi Industrial Area in Bengaluru.

The minister hailed the development as a significant step towards clean energy, improved grid resilience, and India's emergence as a global leader in energy storage.

Highlighting India's ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, Minister Joshi stressed the growing importance of energy storage as renewable sources contribute increasingly to the national grid.
