Thoothukudi, July 23 -- Over 20,000 MSMEs in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu have highlighted loss of opportunities because of delay in setting up a trade and exhibition centre to showcase their produce.

Located in the southern part of the state the setting up of a trade centre for the region has been remaining on paper for the last seven years, as per TNIE.

Although five acres of land near the Fisheries College on Express Port Highways was allotted for the project there has been no development of the centre.

The industrial down is well connected with road, rail, air and water and is situated on the southern strip of the Coromandel Coast.
