Lucknow, Dec. 18 -- Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, informed the Lok Sabha on Thursday that no monthly or annual targets have been set for establishing or expanding Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants or Green Hydrogen projects in Uttar Pradesh, as these initiatives are largely driven by entrepreneurs based on techno-commercial considerations.

Status of CBG Projects in Uttar Pradesh

The Minister stated that the Government is promoting CBG projects across the country, including Uttar Pradesh, through a 'Whole of Government' approach under the GOBARdhan initiative, involving multiple Ministries and Departments.
