New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- NLC India Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to develop innovative extraction processes for rare earth elements from fly ash generated by thermal power plants.

The collaboration represents a significant step toward addressing both waste management challenges and strategic resource requirements in India's industrial sector.

The partnership will establish a pilot project at Neyveli with technical expertise provided by BARC to demonstrate the viability of the extraction methodology.
