Kolkata, Sept. 9 -- A state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Testing Facility will be inaugurated by Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, at the Alipore Regional Laboratory in Kolkata on 10 September 2025.

The facility, equipped with advanced infrastructure, will conduct comprehensive testing on EV batteries and components.

Key assessments will include electrical safety, FCC/ISED compliance, functional safety, durability, climate tests such as IP, UV, and corrosion, as well as mechanical and material safety tests, including flammability and glow wire evaluations.
