New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- With the launch of the new Aadhaar mobile application, India is witnessing a significant shift in identity verification practices across sectors, transitioning from traditional document-based checks to instant, consent-based digital authentication systems.
Developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the new Aadhaar app removes the requirement for physical document copies and lessens dependence on OTP-based sharing. It introduces a secure, app-driven authentication system built on dynamic QR verification and consent-based data sharing.
