New Delhi, July 17 -- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has issued a stern warning to countries maintaining trade relations with Russia, specifically targeting India, China, and Brazil with threats of comprehensive sanctions and tariffs.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Rutte warned these nations could face 100 percent tariffs and secondary sanctions if they continue commercial activities with Moscow.
The warning comes in the context of a 50-day deadline established following discussions between Rutte and US President Donald Trump.
The ultimatum calls for Russian President Vladimir Putin to implement a peace agreement with Ukraine and conclude the ongoing conflict, which has now extended beyond four years.
