New Delhi, Oct. 11 -- Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,Shobha Karandlaje, stated that MSMEs contribute around40 per centto India's total production and exports.
She made these remarks while inaugurating theMSME Marketing Summitin Bengaluru, co-hosted by theNational Small Industries Corporation (NSIC)and theKarnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA).
Karandlaje highlighted that MSMEs play a crucial role in sectors such asagriculture, food, defence, space, and artificial intelligence, contributing significantly to the government's vision of aViksit Bharat by 2047.
She emphasised that the government is committed to strengthening MSMEs through skill development and capacity building initiatives.
