Bhubaneswar, Jan. 6 -- Union Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje on Monday highlighted the role of MSME institutions in national missions, stating that the Central Tool and Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar, supplied materials for ISRO's Chandrayaan project, while the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialisation (MGIRI) provided solar-powered battery chargers used by the armed forces during Operation Sindoor.

Addressing a gathering after reviewing ongoing activities and new projects at MGIRI, Wardha, Karandlaje said these contributions reflected the impact of the government's 'atmanirbharta' (self-reliance) initiative, reported PTI.
