Mumbai, May 8 -- The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has issued a warning to farmers about fraudulent calls related to the 'Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump' scheme, which provides solar agricultural pumps on demand.
The scheme, which allows farmers to get solar pumps by paying only a part of the cost, has received an enthusiastic response. However, MSEDCL officials say that some farmers have recently been duped by fraudsters asking for additional payments in return for priority installation.
