New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the Minimum Export Price (MEP) condition for natural honey, fixing the price at USD 1,400 per metric tonne, below which exports will not be permitted.

In a notification dated December 31, 2025, the DGFT revised the export policy condition for honey classified under tariff heading ITC (HS) 04090000, extending the MEP mechanism until March 31, 2026, with immediate effect.

The MEP requirement for natural honey was first introduced in March 2024 as a regulatory measure to address concerns related to quality and pricing in overseas markets.
