Mumbai, March 6 -- Lenovo, the global technology major, announced on Wednesday its strategic plan to manufacture all of its personal computer models in India over the next three years.

Senior executives revealed the company's ambitious goal to achieve 100 percent local production for its PC business during this period, including its artificial intelligence-enabled PC offerings.

The announcement coincided with Lenovo's celebration of 20 years of operations in India. Shailendra Katiyal, Managing Director of Lenovo India, disclosed that the company currently manufactures 30 percent of its total PC sales locally.

This figure is projected to increase to 50 percent by next year before reaching complete domestic production within three years....
