New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is poised to play a crucial role in India's ambitious nuclear power expansion while also exploring global opportunities in the sector, according to Subramanian Sarma, the company's Whole-time Director and President for Energy.

Speaking at India Energy Week, Sarma emphasised L&T's diverse capabilities in nuclear plant construction and the supply of critical reactor components.

"L&T has different roles to play. We can build nuclear plants as constructors and also supply a lot of critical reactors. These plants are generally not developed in full EPC mode, and there are different elements in the works," Sarma said.
