New Delhi, July 30 -- The government on Tuesday announced that three additional nano fertiliser plants will be established by public and private fertiliser companies, adding a combined annual production capacity of 17 crore bottles (500 ml each).

In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Anupriya Patel clarified that the government is not directly involved in setting up these plants.

However, efforts to promote nano fertilisers are ongoing in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Currently, seven nano-urea plants are operational with a total production capacity of 27.22 crore bottles annually. Additionally, three nano Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) plants are producing up to 7.64 crore bottl...
