New Delhi, Jan. 29 -- India's crude oil imports pattern has witnessed significant change over the past one year with the share of countries like the US, Egypt, UAE, Nigeria and Libya rising.
As per Economic Survey 2025-26 tabled in Parliament on Thursday, crude oil imports from Libya, Egypt, Brazil, the US and Brunei increased significantly during April-November period of FY26 as compared to the same period in FY25.
During the same period, crude oil imports from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Venezuela declined.
"Although imports from other countries account for a significant portion of India's crude oil imports, the shares of the US, Egypt, UAE, Nigeria and Libya have increased," the Survey said.
