New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) convened their maiden annual bilateral meeting in Manila on December 2, 2025 under the framework of an agreement signed two years ago.
Both sides reviewed recent ship visits, professional exchanges and ongoing cooperative activities, and agreed to deepen collaboration to enhance interoperability and operational coordination.
The discussions were aligned with India's Act East Policy and regional maritime initiatives such as Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI), which promote a secure and stable maritime environment.
