Guwahati, Jan. 22 -- The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) North East has urged the young entrepreneurs of Northeast to set up Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Speaking at the ICC Banking and MSME summit here in Guwahati on Tuesday, regional director of the Ishantor Sobhapandit appealed to the entrepreneurs and said Northeast is in a geographically advantageous position to start up numerous industries with innovative skills.

Government is focusing on skill development in order to promote emerging entrepreneurs, said SS Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner and Secretary, the government of Assam.
