Chennai, Jan. 6 -- The inaccessibility of raw materials in Tamil Nadu has forced many granite processing units to relocate to the North state of Rajasthan, which brings the southern state a loss of investments of about INR 1000 crore.

For Rajasthan, this migration of granite processing units brings about investment worth INR 6000 crore.

However, the major factor that influenced this massive relocation is due to the state government not giving quarrying licenses.
