New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- The government, through the Spices Board, is implementing the Sustainability in Spice Sector through Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative Interventions for Export Development (SPICED) scheme to boost spice exports, including turmeric.
Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada shared this information in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
The initiative covers food safety and quality certifications, post-harvest quality upgrades, processing and value addition support, and stakeholder training for quality improvement and entrepreneurship.
