Vijayawada, July 11 -- Commerce & Textiles Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy has said that the Andhra Pradesh (AP) government is taking various steps to make the state as the country's textile hub.

He said this in a webinar organised by Invest India Exclusive Investment Forum on Friday, where the minister also highlighted the opportunities in the state.

Reddy further said that the government is also taking steps for converting yarn produced in the state into fabric and garments within the state itself and also promoting AP as a destination for global textile majors.
