New Delhi, June 3 -- Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched BharatGen, India's first indigenously developed artificial intelligence-based multimodal large language model, at the BharatGen Summit in New Delhi.

BharatGen operates as a government-funded initiative developed under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems and implemented through the Technology Innovation Hub Foundation for Internet of Things at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

The platform integrates text, speech, and image processing capabilities while providing artificial intelligence solutions across 22 Indian languages.
