Mumbai, Dec. 19 -- The Union Government has approved the development of a world-class marina in Mumbai Harbour at an estimated cost of Rs 887 crore. The proposed project is aimed at boosting coastal shipping and maritime tourism besides waterfront-led urban development in the financial capital.

The project, named 'Viksit Bharat Mumbai Marina', was approved by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways to develop globally competitive tourism destinations and strengthen India's maritime economy.
