Panaji, March 27 -- The Government of Goa has outlined an extensive agricultural development strategy, allocating substantial resources to modernise and diversify the state's agricultural and fisheries sectors.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant presented a comprehensive plan that encompasses institutional support, export promotion, and technological innovation across multiple agricultural domains.

A significant financial provision of Rs 306.3 crore has been earmarked for the agricultural sector, with strategic focus on establishing specialised boards to enhance sector productivity and regulation.

The state plans to create three key institutional bodies: the Goa Cashew Board, Goa Bamboo Board, and a new Goa Poultry Board.
