New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Since, the Indias exports contracted for the fifth month in a row, registering a fall by 1.8 per cent to 27.36 billion dollar in December 2019, the Federation of Indian Exporters Organisations (FIEO) president Sharad Kumar Saraf has accused global, domestic factors and escalation of tension between US and Iran which led to this situation.

As per the data released by the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday revealed that imports too declined by 8.83 per cent at 38.61 billion dollar, thus narrowing the trade deficit to 11.25 billion dollar during December, against trade deficit of 14.49 billion dollar in December 2018.
