New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- Animesh Saxena, Past President and Central Executive Committee member, Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), has identified Georgia as a promising market for India's textile and apparel sector.
His remarks follow a high-level delegation visit to Georgia from 17-21 November 2025, in which he participated, where the Ministry of Textiles engaged in multi-sectoral discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation in sericulture, textiles, apparel, and the carpet trade.
He noted, "India's share in the Georgian market remains below 1 percent, with buyers largely sourcing from China, Turkey and other countries."
